Principal Message

Welcome to L.B. Yancey Elementary—Home of the Bulldogs! 

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the principal of this amazing school. This year, we are embracing our theme, “Stronger Together,” as we unite students, families, and staff to create a school community where every child feels valued, inspired, and empowered to succeed.

I am a proud product of Vance County Schools, and leading here in Vance County is especially meaningful to me. This community shaped who I am, and it brings me great joy to give back by helping prepare the next generation of leaders, dreamers, and innovators.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, and I bring that same sense of love, care, and connection into the way I lead our school. I believe that when students feel supported like family, they can achieve incredible things.

This school year, expect bold learning, joyful experiences, and Bulldog pride at every turn. Together, we will celebrate achievements, rise to challenges, and make every moment count.
